About Me

Hello, I’m Ariette, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Christian counselor based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. As a creative and an adult child of East-Asian immigrants, I’m deeply passionate about helping people heal through the power of human connection and emotionally focused therapy while integrating art + play.

Outside of sessions, I also host a podcast, Mind, Mood and Meaning, where I explore my favourite topics: Psychology, personal growth + pop culture. You may also be familiar with my former co-hosted podcast: The Intention Elle Podcast.

My personal experiences have shaped my path as an emotionally-focused therapist. I work closely with individuals to navigate their personal barriers, heal from the past, and embrace growth in the present. A lot of my work focusses on healing the internal parts of yourself so that you can be your whole centred self. Whether it's the wounded inner child, the burned out corporate worker, or the loyal but emotionally exhausted partner in you, you deserve to show up for yourself and to have your pains heard. This is a safe space to be who you are, all the parts of you.

Your emotions are powerful—but so are you. Healing is within your reach.

I work with children (ages 8+, accompanied by a parent), and independently, adolescents (ages 13+), adult individuals, and pre-marital couples. I’m particularly passionate about emotional health often integrating mind-body practices like nervous system regulation and therapeutic activity into our sessions.

In my work, I find great joy in empowering my clients. I provide the tools and support needed to help you make healthier, holistic choices in your relationships, life, and career/work. I look forward to the possibility of working with you!

My Why

Like you, I am a fellow sojourner in the human experience. As a second-generation Chinese-Canadian, I bring cultural empathy and a deep understanding of the unique yet universal experiences that come with being from an East-Asian background. Growing up as a visible minority has enriched my appreciation for cultural diversity and the wide range of experiences others have.

I became a therapist because I believe healing creates a ripple effect—not only transforming your life but also impacting the lives of those around you. I’m passionate about the important work of inner child healing, breaking generational trauma, and disrupting dysfunctional family patterns. My goal is to see your life, and the lives of your loved ones and future generations, benefit from the ripple effects of your healing.

This is the heart of my work. I see therapy as a powerful vehicle for emotional transformation, leading to positive change. My lived experiences, faith, and values give me a profound hope for humanity—that despite living in a broken world, healing is always possible.

Healing begins with you, with me, and with the felt work we do together.
